First of all, THANK YOU so much for the lovely comments last post! I am overwhelmed (in more ways than one!)! We are loving our new little guy and are so thankful for him!
He is doing very well despite the harrowing first night home...we had a tremendous storm with high winds come through around 6: 30 PM his first day home and the power was out for the following 11 hours. The house was so hot, and we were all very sticky, crabby, & exhausted (this was the third day of a 100 degree heatwave too in our old house that doesn't have central air). I tried to control my wild postpartum hormones as well as I could and didn't start sobbing (with relief then!) until the power came on the next morning. What a night! Yesterday was a good day, and last night Lukas gave us one 4 hour stretch between feedings which was heaven!
We are celebrating Lydia's 7th birthday today! She requested a peanut butter cake which Grammy made for her last night and spaghetti with meatballs for dinner (easy!). I have to wrap her presents still today while daddy takes the kiddos all out this afternoon for a bday surprise. She wanted Lukas to be born on her birthday, but I'm so glad she has her own special day. I can't believe she's already 7! Happy birthday to my girl!
